Guidance on the general requirements

Last updated:  OCTOBER 29th, 2019

The general requirements can be seen in two broad groups.

The first group can be regarded as requiring "metadata" about the information definition itself. The requirements allow a user to:

  • identify an information definition by using, for example, the edition and reference date
  • identify the responsible party
  • decide on whether a particular information definition meets the needs of the user

The second group promotes the overall quality of the information definition by placing specific requirements on its concepts.
